Hi! This is Zafar, An Engineer (Mechanical) from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

let me help you with IP Address Tracking Program!

  1. You get an abusive mails from somebody and want to know where it has come from!
  2. Someone mails you claiming to be from one place and you suspect that he or she is from another place.
  3. You just want to track an email you received.

Finding IP address in Yahoo! Mail

  1. First of all log into your Yahoo! mail with your username and password.
  2. Click on Inbox or whichever folder you have stored your mail.
  3. Open the mail.
  4. On the top-right side of the mail page, there is a hyperlink that says Full Headers. Click on it.
  5. If you see Brief Headers and not Full Headers, then ignore step 4, and jump to step 6.
  6. Look at the headers that are now displayed above the message.
  7. Read the Received: headers and search for IP addresses between square brackets like this [ ].
  8. For example the IP address will look something like 203.187.150.51  note down the IP address and mail it to me at zafars100@yahoo.com so that i can let you know where the mail came from.



 


Finding IP address in Hotmail
  • First of all log into your Hotmail with your username and password
  • Click on Inbox or whichever folder you have stored your mail.
  • Open the mail.
  • If you do not see the headers in the mail, click on the Options   hyperlink
  • After you are in the Options page, click on the Mail button and then on the Mail Display Settings hyperlink
  • You should see the Message Headers here as
    None Basic Full Advanced
  • Select Full and click on the Ok button.
  • Now go back to the mail.
  • Look at the headers that are now displayed above the message.
  • Read the Received: headers and search for IP addresses between square brackets like this [ ].
  • Then mail to me at zafars100@yahoo.com the IP address you noted down, i shall mail you the location and network from which you got the particular mail.
